Tour-description:

Through the Upper Drau Valley along the B 100 direction it goes Osttirol Lienz. A beautiful town in southern flair mediating the Lienz Dolomites. Interesting is the Castle Bruce and the Egger-Lienz Museum. In Lienz, there are also cheap fuel opportunities. It continues its course Matrei. After about 20 km in Huben next to St. James in the Defreggental the Staller Sattel (2052 m). Caution: traffic light control at the Staller Sattel! The trip to Italy is in each of the 0 to 15 Minutes and the journey from Italy to Austria from the 30th to 45 Minute of each hour.

We continue in the Anterselva, down towards Olang in South Tyrol. Turn onto E 66 next to San Candido. Halfway is located in a valley running south of Lake Braies to 1494 m altitude, in the midst of the imposing massif of Seekofel 2810 m. Further on the route to San Candido and Sillian leads to roads, where you turn right towards Kartitsch to Karni's road to the Dolomites Lesachtal. Past Maria Luggau (attractive sanctuary) to Kötschach Mauthen and by upper-iG to Hermagor. There you turn left and cross over the mountain pass (1077 m) to reach again the Weissensee.

Tour-description:

About Drautal road B 100 towards Lienz. In turn right to the Dölsach Iselsberg. Here you have a wonderful view of the Lienz Dolomites. Continue through the sacred blood Mölltal direction, past thundering waterfalls to the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. In Holy Blood, see the remarkable Gothic pilgrimage church with adjoining cemetery climbers. 48 km pure driving pleasure - on the Next was built in 1924 Grossglockner High Alpine Road. The first stop on the Emperor Franz Josef's height (2369 m). Here you have a magnificent view of the highest mountain in Austria, the Grossglockner (3,798 m), and the longest glacier in the eastern Alps, the Pasterze. Dozens marmots frolic just outside the visitors and with some luck you will be the impressive mountain goats. Continues the tour to Hochtor (2503 m) and to Fuscher Törl - Edelweißpitze (highest point of the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, 2571 m). Here you have a wonderful panoramic view Approx. 330 km, takes about 4-6 hours, moderate walk for more than 30 three thousand.

It goes downhill about Bruck - Schwarzach - Wagrein in Radstadt. There, the next challenge is waiting with the Radstadt Tauern (1739 m). The 40 km long mountain range runs from about Obertauern Radstadt to Mauterndorf. The very good road led so many motorcyclists to drive fast, but that's not the point - cruising is announced. In St. Michael, you reach the foot of the Katschberg. Up the Katschberg (1,641 m), through Liesertal, past Gmünd and Spittal / Drau Drau Valley by the return to the starting point.

Tour description:

From about Weissensee Hermagor towards Tröpolach it comes to the wet field (Passo Pramollo, 1552 m), Carinthia's largest ski area after passing Pontebba in Italy. Continue through the Val d'Upa featured direction and Moggio Tolmezzo. Did they come through the quite chaotic traffic circle in Tolmezzo, it is towards Ampezzo, where you turn right to Sauris. Now it goes to the very narrow and winding road, some with unlit tunnels, along the Lumischlucht to Sauris up to 1400 m (highest village in Friuli).

Sauris is a language island - this one speaks in everyday life most with "Zahrisch. The first residents were middle of the 12th century, namely from some border between Tyrol and Carinthia valleys and from this developed the still existing language. A delicacy of ham Sauris is known. A ham seasoned with mountain herbs and lightly smoked. Very nice restaurants. We continue to pass on the Sella di Razzo (Razzosattel) and at the end of the pass turn right towards Prato and Comeglians to Paluzza. The route then continues towards the well-developed Timau Plöckenpass to 1360 m to Kötschach-Mauthen. There it goes north from there across the Gailbergpass Oberdrauburg. Here is turned right and the rest of the way through the Upper Drautal direction Greifenburg-Weissensee and on the Kreuzberg Pass (1077 m), it then goes back to the Weissensee.

Tour-description:

From Weissensee Hermagor on the south-east along the B111 to Arnold stone. Next to Hart, then turn towards Kranjska Gora - Slovenia. About the root pass (1073 m) - with its narrow, winding roads and up to 18% gives rise to this special kind of fun along the Save the challenging road begins to Vrsic Pass. The Vrsic Pass at 1611 m is the highest mountain pass in Slovenia and is the connection between Kranjska Gora and the Trenta dar. The 48 hairpin bends are in the northern part of the pass road sometimes cobblestone. On Vrsic Pass offers a beautiful panoramic view of the Triglav National Park.

Continue in the direction of Soča and Predelau (Predil), to Italy. Anyone who wants to can make a trip to the border on the 12 km long Mangartstraße to Mangarthütte (1906 m) at the foot of the 2677 m high MANGART. The ascent to the Mangart takes about 2 hours from the hut - the beautiful view at the top is the reward for the hardships. In the valley, the route continues towards Sella Nevea, Chiusaforte after Moggio. There, turn north into the running Val d'Upa Pontebba direction. Now it is up to the Nassfeld Pass (Passo di Pramollo) to 1552 m. The descent on the Austrian side offers great twists and turns that can be paired with a good road conditions every biker's heart beat faster. About the Passo it goes back to the Weissensee.

The fascination Nock Mountains National Park has inspired every biker. It starts at Weissensee, over the Kreuzberg Pass (1077 m) to Greifenburg, and on the B 100 to Spittal / Drau. Interesting to see the castle Porcia is an informative museum. In Spittal, there are also good possibilities tank.

It continues its course Millstättersee. Seabed in the road branches off at the 2nd Roundabout Treffling off and on a narrow road, you pass through Liesertal towards Gmünd. Gmünd is the best preserved medieval town in Carinthia, is well worth the Porsche car museum. A side trip leads through the Malta Valley and the Malta Valley High Alpine Road to the impressive Kölnbreinsperre, m. Austria's largest dam at 2000 Gmünd it goes from on to Krems bridge, turn right to Innerkrems, then we go to one of the most beautiful mountain roads in Austria: the Nockalmstraße, 34 km of pure biking pleasure. Good Rest stop in quaint inns and lodges, is where real Carinthian food on the table. Further on the route to Bad Kleinkirchheim, Radenthein, Döbriach. There via the gloss (fabulous views of the Millstättersee) to remote village in the direction Stockenboi Weissensee-eastern shore. Nature. After a short rest further back towards the floor and crosses over the amount Windische Hermagor and Cross Mountain Pass to the Weissensee.

From Weissensee by Drautal to Spittal and on the B100 in direction Feistritz and Villach. Wernberg from the Rose Valley is controlled. Whether St. Nicholas, Rosegg, St. James or Feistritz - any specific natural area convinced by its own special features. If we turn then to the Kirschentheuer Loibl Pass (1367 m), the border pass between Carinthia and Slovenia into the eastern Karawanken. After Tržič it is advisable to pursue the direction Lesce to avoid the rush to Bled. In Lake Bled, at the foot of the Julian Alps, is a small island with the Church and its famous wishing bell.

The tour leads to Bohinjska Bistrica, there is a trip to Bohinjska See recommended. Again Bohinjska Bistrica Podbrdo on the route leading to Tolmin, which thanks to good signage should not be missed. Especially can look forward to this tour all fish lovers as Kobarid convinced by very well-run fish restaurants. The way home leads through the Soča River located at Bovec. The Soča is due to its crystal clear water, the white rock with many gorges and canyons in a white-water sports-known whitewater river. Over the Passo del Predil the route to Italy, Tarvisio, where a shopping trip adds variety. Via Hohenthurn, Nötsch (with the Museum Nötscher circle) and Hermagor it goes back to the Weissensee.

From Weissensee we drive through the Drautal to Lienz, then it goes immediately to the Pusteria Alpine Road, which at 1,800 m at its highest point. This sun terrace offers magnificent scenery with mainly rural structure, preserved traditions and many cultural sites including the castle Anras. Tip: Delicious East Tyrolean mountain lamb to the hotel and restaurant keepers (1 Award) in Anras. In Abfaltersbach takes you back onto the B100 and continue to Sillian crossed the Austrian border to the tour in South Tyrol. turn left to San Candido Sesto and the Cross Mountain Pass to Santo Stefano in Cadore. Sappada overcomes one of the 1,292 m above sea level Sappadapass and follow the SS 355 according Comeglians. About Cercivento we go to Paluzza and on over the well-developed Plöckenpass (Passo di Monte Croce Carnico) back to Carinthia. Via Kötschach-Mauthen it goes by the Gail and Hermagor back to the Weissensee.
